Overall Narrative Planning: Main Brief

Chelsea and I are working together to produce our main brief.  Firstly, we wrote down all of our ideas in a mind map. We tried to plan what would happen in the opening, characters, sub-genre, as well as the location. Through lots of research, we decided that we wanted the sub-genre of the horror film to be paranormal. Paranormal seemed like the most obvious choice to us, because we both like watching paranormal horror films and it seems like the simplest to film. We will not have any special effects to make our opening more realistic, so by choosing a paranormal we think we can still make the film scary to watch. Moreover, by choosing a paranormal film, we will not have to show much blood, so the actors costumes and makeup will not have to be extreme.
