As you can see above, option 5 was the clear favourite. However, looking back, Chelsea and I have decided that option 2 will suit our opening much better, as it is more suited our sub-genre.
The majority of people who took part in our questionnaire, stated that they like to have the credits in the opening scene and have them running whilst the opening scene is playing. Chelsea and I had already planned to have the credits playing throughout the opening, so it is good to know that our audience agrees with us. The next most popular choice was to have the credits before the opening scene begins, however our opening should only last 2-3 minutes. Hence, there may not be enough time to have the credits before the scene begins.
Most of the people that took part in our questionnaire said that their favourites were either white on a black background or red on a black background. However, white on a black background was he most popular overall. This could be due to the fact that the colour black suits the genre of horror, it also connotes death, evil, and mystery. Moreover, black is a mysterious color, often associated with fear and the unknown.
9 peoples preference was to have the title after the opening scene. From these results, Chelsea an I have made the decision to have to title appear after the opening scene; also it should make the end o more dramatic.
In conclusion, these results have been very helpful and have made myself and Chelsea think more about how our credits will suit our target audience.
