Mini Brief: Pre-Production Script
Before filming we needed to write a script for our sequence. As our genre for this sequence was horror, we wanted to try to include as many conventions of the thriller genre. Therefore the first thing we tried to establish was the protagonist and the antagonist. Whilst writing our script, we wanted to ensure that the antagonist would have clear authority and power over the protagonist (even though we chose not to give him any lines, to conceal his identity.) We wanted to make the girls as normal as possible and make her seem vlunerable. In order to do this, we decided to set the scene in the protagonists living room, with the two girls gossiping after school. In order to have a dramatic ending, we decided to end on a cliff-hanger, eaving the audience wondering what happens next, also to creae tension. In our script "Masked Man" stands for the Antagonist and "Izzy" stands for the Protagonist.
